SMALL GROUPS

It is our desire to create environments for authentic connections with God and others and we do that through our strategy of small groups.

Small groups encompass our mission of R.I.S.E. (Relationship, Intimacy, Set Free, Empower). We offer small groups and seminars that address each of these mission points in our desire to Know God, Be Transformed and Live Empowered.

Small groups are groups of three or more people exploring and pursuing their faith and growing in relationship with God and others through reading the Bible, connecting and praying together.

Small Groups meet at various times and focus on a variety of topics. Browse this page to find a group that may match your interest. To sign up for a small group, please fill out the form on this page.

A Woman's Heart God's Dwelling Place

When: Wednesdays at 10:00 am
Where: 921 W. Mendenhall  [Map]
Leader: Yvonne Stainer and Carol Dailey
Phone: 406-587-9283
E-mail: info@summitchurchmt.com

Starting: September 18th

A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place - Bible Study Book by Beth Moore provides a personal study experience five days a week plus viewer guides for the group video sessions of this in-depth women's Bible study. Explore the fascinating account of the building of the Old Testament tabernacle, the significance of its intricate design, its pivotal role in God's eternal plan, the grand fulfillment of its purpose by Jesus Christ, and its variety of meanings for your walk with God today. Note: Participants must view DVD messages to complete Member Book assignments.

Perhaps no Old Testament event so dramatically illustrates God's persistent desire to relate to His children as the building of the tabernacle in the wilderness. Through the tabernacle God initiated a deeper relationship with His Chosen People by bringing reconciliation and revealing His glory. And certainly, no Old Testament event so richly prefigures the coming of the true Tabernacle, Jesus Christ. You will be challenged to prepare your heart, like the holy of holies, to become a home for His love and glory — a dwelling place for the Most High God.

"Certainly, the modern Pentecostal movement is one of the most important religious and sociological phenomena of the century" (William W. Menzies).

This Bible study is a layman's guide concerning our Assemblies of God heritage and how its dynamic roots not only reflect our aspirations but continue to guide the destiny of our unique fellowship. In this 10-week course, we will investigate the origins of the Pentecostal movement and of the Assemblies of God specifically. We will also consider how this heritage birthed one of the greatest on-going revivals in human history and how we may retain it.

Untangle Your Emotions by Jennie Allen

• Start Date: October 5th, then meet each month on the first Saturday of the month

• Where: Summit Church, Sozo Cafe

• Time: Start with brunch at 10am and go until 12pm

• About the Study: What does the Bible tell us about our emotions? Do we have control over feeling sad? Feeling angry? Feeling happy? What do we do when we can't interrupt a feeling? Does the Bible really tell us that our emotions are untrustworthy? After years of hiding and denying her own painful emotions, bestselling author and Bible teacher Jennie Allen decided to ask these vulnerable questions. In doing so, she discovered emotions are not our enemy. Emotions are designed by God as gifts to connect us to Himself and to the people we love. Join Jennie on a journey to a healthier relationship with emotions and a deeper connection with God through a biblical study of how God made us to feel.
